Schubert North America LLC announced that Dominik Streicher has been appointed chief operating officer of its Canadian entity, Schubert Packaging Automation Inc. Dominik joins Schubert Packaging Automation Inc. from Gerhard Schubert GmbH, the headquarters of the Schubert group, located in Crailsheim, Germany. He joined Schubert in 2000 and has gained more than 10 years of experience in electrical engineering before taking on his management career in sales and project management.

BAK Food Equipment announced that Thomas Bako has joined the company as director of business development, effective Jan. 16. In his new role, Bako will spearhead the expansion of new customer accounts and foster the growth of BAK Food Equipment’s existing client relationships. Bako comes to BAK Food Equipment with more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing and industrial process automation. Most recently, he was sales and marketing director for a major subsidiary of a $171 million global company that designs and manufactures sensors and process control instrumentation for several industrial market segments.

Formost Fuji Corporation
Formost Fuji Corporation has purchased a 65,000 square foot building, located in Everett, WA, to house its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities. This acquisition is needed to meet the company’s demand for growth and their vision for innovation in the packaging machinery industry. The building purchase will allow Formost Fuji to expand their manufacturing and assembly floor as well as provide a modern, larger office space for the engineering, sales, service, accounting, and administration departments. The transition planning has already begun, and the move from its current facility in Woodinville, WA will be completed by mid Q3, 2023.

TOMRA Food has appointed Sean Slevin as regional sales director of TOMRA Processed Food in North America. This follows the 2021 appointment of Michael Ehr as regional sales manager of TOMRA Processed Food for North America, which is TOMRA's biggest single market. Slevin is a 17-year veteran of TOMRA Food and the food sector, having held roles across Europe and Asia. His most recent position was regional sales director, Asia-Pacific, TOMRA Processed Food, where he established the regional team and substantially grew the business.

RIBUS Inc. has appointed third-generation entrepreneur Alicia Peirce Kasch as vice president. This appointment coincides with RIBUS celebrating 30 years of business serving the food, beverage, pet, and dietary supplement sectors with clean-label ingredients to companies worldwide.
