Mérieux NutriSciences has announced the launch of its new North American website at www.merieuxnutrisciences.com/NA. The new website now represents the entire North American region, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, while supporting three languages, English, French, and Spanish. It features a resource center, blog, event schedule, new easy-to-use navigation, and a mobile-friendly environment.

Limagrain Ingredients has launched a European consumer observatory with the CREDOC (Centre de Recherche pour l’Etude et l’Observation des Conditions de vie). Renewed every three years, this observatory will provide a comprehensive and regularly updated overview of the situation in the different countries by studying consumers’ knowledge, perception, and attitude towards fiber.

BW Integrated Systems, a Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Systems company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Karl Odegaard to the role of vice president of operations. As a member of BW Integrated Systems’ executive leadership team, Odegaard will direct leadership for the engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams across the company’s U.S. locations.

JLS Automation is planning an expansion project for its headquarters in York, PA. The project will focus exclusively on expanding production space to accommodate rapidly growing consumer demand for large automated packaging systems as well as traditional JLS equipment. At this time, 50,000 sq ft will be added to the existing facility, which is just under 100,000 sq ft.

Triangle Package Machinery Company is partnering with Capper-McCall Company for representation in the Southeast U.S. territory. The team will directly support Jeff Schuch, Southeast regional sales manager at Triangle. Capper-McCall is a manufacturer's representative firm specializing in automation through packaging machinery. It offers Triangle over 100 years of combined sales and account management experience in packaging machinery and automation, further strengthening its sales efforts.

Grote Company has announced several promotions. With these changes, the company intensifies its focus on sales and profitability, as it integrates PFI (Precision Food Innovations) into the organization following its acquisition in 2021. Greg Gavlak has been promoted to director of operations. He was previously operations leader with Grote. Director of Sales Andy Schneider has been tapped to help streamline and optimize PFI’s sales operations to increase sales of PFI equipment to Grote’s customer base. Tanner Adams has been promoted to the newly created role of Grote U.S. sales and service operations manager. Beyond assuming additional leadership responsibilities in the sales and service department, Adams will continue in his previous role as U.S. slicing application specialist.

Michael Cornelis, vice president of international sales for American Pan, a division of Bundy Baking Solutions, recently announced the promotion of Mariana Haddad to technical sales director for American Pan. Haddad has been with the company since 2013 and has held several key sales positions including inside sales coordinator, inside sales manager, and regional sales manager. Mariana is based at American Pan Cainco in Bauru, Brazil.

AMF Bakery Systems has announced the acquisition of Workhorse Automation, Inc. of Kirkwood, Pennsylvania. The acquisition will bring together the two US-based industry leaders for the automation of pan, basket, and product handling. The combined portfolio of technologies and engineering expertise will help bakers worldwide build more efficient, productive, and fully automated bakeries.
