FLOCK FOODS

Chicken crisps

The One Group, an international restaurant company, has unveiled a new collaboration with Benihana, a U.S. operator of teppanyaki restaurants. Flock has developed the chain’s first-ever direct-to-consumer chicken snack, inspired by its signature flavors. Made from 100% real chicken and crafted with a teriyaki flavor profile, the Chicken Skin Crisps have 13 g of protein, one carb, and less than one g of sugar per serving.

BAREBELLS

Protein bars

The company released a peanut butter protein bar with a fruity, raspberry filling inside, with 20 g of protein and no added sugar. Consumers of the brand’s Peanut Butter Original Protein Bar will recognize the taste of peanut butter, but this new variety offers a jelly filling made with real freeze-dried raspberries. The bar is available at the brand’s website plus Vitamin Shoppe and Walmart, with additional retailer partners to follow.

YAX SNACKS

BFY tortilla chips

Yax Chaya Tortilla Chips were launched on January 9. Made with chaya—a leafy green traditionally grown and eaten across the Yucatán, Mexico, and Central America, often called “tree spinach”—the brand is bringing an underused ingredient to the snack aisle in a crunchy, savory tortilla chip made with nixtamalized corn and cooked in avocado oil. Launch flavors of the product include Habanero + Sour Orange; Garlic, Green Onion, + Crema; and Chaya + Tangy Cheese.
