This new identity better aligns with the company's existing strengths and expertise in the food safety industry. Safe Foods, a division of PSSI Food Safety Solutions, will continue under the Fortrex brand. Fortrex's new logo depicts an "X," representing an elimination of contaminants. This brand identity aims to reflect the strength of the Fortrex team that operates throughout North America.
The Syntegon Group has appointed Eros Carletti as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He joined the company on January 6. Eros Carletti succeeds Dr. Peter Hackel, who left Syntegon on December 31, 2024, following two successful years as CFO. Carletti reportedly brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in finance leadership to his new position. He held roles of increasing responsibility at General Electric for over 16 years. Since 2018, he served as CFO of DSM’s nutrition business and, most recently, as chief transformation officer of the newly formed dsm-firmenich Group. He holds a business degree from Bocconi University in Milan.
WeighPack Systems has released its Swifty Bagger S-3600 Duplex Servo, a new addition to its high-performance Swifty Bagger pre-made pouch filling machine family. Designed to maximize productivity, flexibility, and ease of use, the Swifty Bagger S-3600 is reportedly capable of opening, filling, and sealing up to 70 pre-made pouches per minute or 4,200 pouches per hour. Equipped with twin pouch infeed conveyors and dual fill stations, the bagger reportedly handles liquids, solids, and powders with high speed and precision.
Kerry Group, a taste and nutrition company, has announced several senior executive appointments. Oliver Kelly has been named group chief commercial officer, John Cahalane as president and CEO of Kerry North America, and Peter Dillane as president and CEO of Kerry Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA). The appointments coincide with the planned retirement of Malcolm Sheil, who will leave the business later this year, after a 36-year career spanning several continents at Kerry.
