DuPont Sustainable Solutions has announced it will operate under a new name: dss+ (pronounced “d-s-s plus”). Since DuPont Sustainable Solutions became an independent consulting firm after separating from DuPont in 2019, it has evolved and enhanced its capabilities through organic growth and the acquisition of three organizations to improve the breadth and depth of capabilities in operational excellence, sustainability, and ESG (Environmental, Social, & Governance).

Riviana Foods Inc. has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of InHarvest, Inc. which specializes in the production, marketing, and sale of premium specialty rice, quinoa, and grains. The acquisition expands Riviana's operations and geographic footprint into California and includes two production facilities in Colusa and Woodland strategically located in the rice-growing area of the Western United States. In addition, with InHarvest's focus on the foodservice, ingredients/industrial and retail/private label sectors, the purchase complements and enhances Riviana's current business in those segments.

Sensus is highlighting the ambitions of the new Cosun strategy, Unlock 25. A key driver of this strategy is expanding the Sensus’ chicory root fiber manufacturing capacity. This ambition further complements the company’s 2022 capacity expansion and supports several key sustainability programs. By increasing the availability of chicory root fiber, Sensus is able to help food manufacturers make better-for-you products more widely available to consumers.

ADM has announced that Ray G. Young will assume the additional role of vice chairman, in which he will provide strategic counsel on major initiatives critical to ADM’s future success. Young plans to transition from his role as chief financial officer once his successor is identified. ADM will begin a search for the next CFO, including internal and external candidates with the assistance of a leading independent search firm.

EverGrain Ingredients, an impact-driven ingredient company created by AB InBev, is proud to announce that its entire portfolio of upcycled barley protein and fiber ingredients has received the Upcycled Food Association’s (UFA) certification. The first-of-its kind mark, which launched last year, will enable food and beverage manufacturers that use the ingredients place the claim on its packaging.

KUKA Robotics has named Casey DiBattista and Vancho Naumovski to key leadership positions within the company, leveraging decades of experience and expertise to drive organizational growth and lead the industry. DiBattista is now the chief regional officer of KUKA North America, and Naumovski is the new vice president and general manager of operations for the United States. Combined, DiBattista and Naumovski bring decades of experience to their new positions and together will work to ensure KUKA customers continue to benefit from world-class, end-to-end automation solutions.

MGP Ingredients, Inc., a provider of specialty proteins and starches, has announced it will build a technologically advanced extrusion plant to produce its ProTerra line of texturized proteins. The new plant will be located adjacent to the company’s existing Atchison, Kansas, plant. Once online in late 2023, the new extrusion plant is expected to produce up to 10 million pounds of ProTerra per year.

Triangle Package Machinery Co. has added Robert Blassick as chief financial officer (CFO). He will replace the current CFO, Tim Gasparich, who is retiring. As CFO, Blassick is responsible for overseeing and analyzing Triangle’s finances and helping provide a vision for the future and plan for scaling Triangle’s business. Blassick’s vast knowledge spans many industries, including consumer packaged goods, Big Four public accounting, and more, helping him achieve breadth in his career.

KPM Analytics is pleased to announce its SRC-CHOPIN 2 has earned approval from the ICC, the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology. The SRC-CHOPIN 2 is the baking industry’s only automated SRC (Solvent Retention Capacity) solution supporting quality control for the baking and milling industries. Receiving ICC approval is a years-long process, as data is gathered from tests conducted around the world to verify repeatable and reproducible results regardless of where tests are performed.
